Job Description

Sales Strategy & Planning

  • Support the leadership develop and implementation of short, medium and long-term plans that align with Rackspace’s objectives to the achievement of sales goals.

  • Seek to understand the business, future strategies and directions to anticipate infrastructure and process changes in the organization.

  • Conduct market, partner and prospects analysis to model and improve the channel Go-To-Market strategy.

  • Ensure alignment of Rackspace objectives with the channel objectives and the corresponding compensation design for the organization.

Project Management

  • Manage complex projects to major milestones with project justification proposals, business cases and ROI estimates; obtain executive approval and funding.

  • Develop and maintain key project governance documentation to ensure the proper amount of structure is applies to enable project success.

  • Provide timeline updates and elevate critical risks to management and senior executives as needed.

Process Design & Management

  • Work with the channel and channel operations leadership to define, develop and manage the automation, governance, measurement and improvement of sales and revenue execution processes.

  • Conceptualize and develop initiatives that improve the partner experience working with Rackspace.

  • Propose and drive new solutions that will improve the effectiveness and/or efficiency of the channel organization.

  • Build internal and external expertise driving best practices and innovation.

Sales Intelligence

  • Develop and distribute information and insights about the Rackspace channel ecosystem, channel partners, sales activities, and enablement training and assets that improve sales performance.

  • Work with business intelligence to conceptualize and develop appropriate reporting/dashboards that provides: metrics that align with the corporate sales objectives of Rackspace and the channel sales organization; customers’ and partners’ insights; and prospects sales journey or sales funnel analysis.

  • Provide leadership ad-hoc reporting.

Systems and Tools

  • Gather and synthetize detailed business requirements and design specifications.

  • Act as a liaison between channel operations and systems and tools to ensure that the business requirements are complete and met by the proposed technology solutions.

  • Facilitate project-related testing, roll-out and post-mortem work.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or Engineering required.

  • 2-3 years related experience.
